She pioneered distributed solar finance with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, and worked in large scale electric utilities with McKinsey and Co. As a cofounder of MEC she innovated a safe and scalable platform for financial institutions to provide clean energy loans to rural households.
James is a Director and Co-Founder of MEC.
Over the past 15 years, Narendra has worked with reputed organisations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hinduja Group, Fortune Finance, Nexia & Gravita in various roles. His expertise are in Fund Raising, Financial Planning & Management, Business Strategy, MIS & Budgeting.
Nick is Program Manager for MEC's carbon projects in India, Kenya and Mongolia. Previously, Nick worked as a program manager for MEC with a rural MFI in Kenya. Before working in clean energy and microfinance, Nick spent three years working on agricultural development projects with indigenous Peruvian farmers.
Karthik is managing CDM project activities for MEC. He also has experience working as a project engineer, performing energy audits for industrial and commercial buildings. Karthik graduated from the National Institute of Technology - Tiruchirappalli with a Master’s degree in energy engineering.
Atul has 18 years of experience working in emerging market space of East Africa and South Asia. He has played pivotal role in Business expansions, New alliances and 360 degree Marketing campaigns at d.light Energy, PHILIPS, Castrol, Wockhardt, Max New York Life.
Patrick manages operations, partnerships, and new strategy development and implementation for MEC in East Africa. He brings many years of experience leading small-scale energy programs in Latin America and helped create an Ashden-Award winning stove company in Central America.
Sriskandh oversees the carbon program of MEC and is responsible for the organization’s carbon related activities. Sriskandh worked as the Head of Standard Development at the Gold Standard Foundation and also served on the ad-hoc CDM project review expert group of the UNFCCC.
Mriganka manages MEC's relationship with Equity Bank, East Africa's largest commercial bank. Here, Mriganka works on supply chain management, impact assessment and product management of the world's first clean energy mobile-phone loan - the 'EcoMoto Loan' - accessible on Equity Bank's 'Equitel' platform.
Miriam manages the sales team at Equity Bank in Kenya. Previously, Miriam worked as sales director of Greenchar, a briquette manufacturing company. While working as an MEC sales team member, she reached more households with clean energy solutions than any other team member.
Ankita is assisting in managing CDM project activities for MEC. She has 6 years of experience in research, policy advocacy, govt. liasioning, project implementation and multi-stakeholder engagement in clean energy space and waste management. During her past tenure, she was in the National Committee that formulated the draft National Policy on Mini Grids. Ankita has done her master’s in Natural Resource Management from TERI University.
Ashok is managing the sales team in southern India. Previously, he worked as senior manager with SELCO Solar Light Pvt. Ltd – a social enterprise that provides sustainable energy solutions to rural households in India.
Susan works on a variety of tasks with MEC's East Africa team, from processing sales data and reconciliations to helping manage deliveries and inventory. Previously Susan worked with Equity Group Foundation (EGF) as a data entry clerk, and before that she worked with microfinance institutions focused on women's empowerment.
Johnson is the team driver for MEC headquarters in Mumbai. He is an integral part of the team at the office and in the field. John purchased water purifiers for his family after joining the MEC team, and thereafter became a clean energy advocate and product demonstrator.
